Coaster question - won't work w/Powerbook G4 DVI

Why does Coaster tell me that it cannot work due to my recording input device being open? It is not being used by another device (as far as I know.) The program closes before I can even get into it.

    Coaster is a sound recorder, been recommended here numerous times. I received my recommendation here when I asked if there was a way to import vinyl music via the audio line-in jack on a Powerbook. It only works in Classic. Come to think of it, maybe I should restart in OS 9 & try that. I'll be back.

    or it could be reading the internal microphone as an open recording source. check sound control panel (and disable speakable items, etc)

    Changed my startup disk to OS 9 and it worked great. Now to fix the annoying buzzing on my record player...
