Well AFAIC the powerbook LCD should be free, since you can't see anything on it anyway. (Well when compared to an ACD)
I wouldn't be suprised to see a update, silent or otherwise. I would be surprised if an update doesn't come before the end of May...

i agree. i doubt apple really gives a rat's ass about we all say in here... they could care less. i think an update on any or all products is coming up very soon....
pc users are starting to notice apple again and the imac is bringing in a lot of new crowds... hopefully apple will be smart enough to suck them all in with new or updated products a.s.a.p.
PC users are also being reminded of Apple pricing. It's kinda funny. Looking at some of the international Apple pages, if a PC user hadn't looked into Apple stuff in a while, their initial reaction might be, "Woah, WTF happend to the currency exchange!" Suddenly we're all living in Argentina!

yeah, i'll agree with you there.
a new imac is almost twice as expensive one from 4 months ago! i'm confused why the original iMacs are still available to purchase. yeah, maybe apple is trying to get rid of excess stock, but are they holding onto them just to stay in the "under $1000" bracket?

The waiting time for a powerbook is 5 days at the on-line apple store!! You know what this means maybe!!!!!!

No, I don't know what this maybe means.

Uh... Is this like the chicken & the egg thing?!?
How could said person post such a thread, if their modem is not connected...?!?
Let's get back to serious posts, Apple purchasing Alias|wavefront being my favorite topic of choice...
That and anything that Dorsal can tell me about quad G5 boxes!

The 14" iBook is a 10 day wait at Applestore US too (3 days UK).
It might be nothing, but these waits put new 'books right in the middle of NSBA *and* NAB.
So, reading way too much into it:
600Mhz G4 14" iBook at NSBA
733/867/933 G4 Powerbooks w/ Superdrive at NAB
Both in time for education budget spends.

It means you have to wait 5 days.
BTW: I had to wait 7+ days 2 months ago.
Can you say "E Relevant?"
