OS X copying-CD-to-HD woes

While trying to copy data CD's (both ISO 9660 CD's and "Mac"-formatted ones) to an internal hard drive in Finder, the copying stops perhaps 100 MB into the operation with the message, "Sorry, operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occurred. (Error code -8084)." It's done this on several different CD's. Seems to be able to read and open files from the CD, and I seem to be able to copy one at a time okay, so far. Could not find that error code on Apple's website, either.



The CD's copy fine to the hard drive under 9.2.2 so I have a work-around. But it is a hassle to reboot into 9.2.2 just to copy a CD to the hard drive. The machine is a dual GHz G4 w/superdrive, plenty of hard drive space, and 1 GB of RAM. I'm running 10.1.5.



Any thoughts?
