I would like some information if possible regarding SIM only.

My friend got a SIM only deal and tells me that it?s very good value, therefore I would love one suitable for my handset too. Who is the more consistent mobile phone network? Could I swap to SIM Only if I am still on contract despite the fact my contract is about to expire in a couple of months. I?m a tiny bit upset that I can't get a replacement mobile, although I assume it'll be Sim only contract is cheaper than a conventional contract.
