The New iPad - Dead Pixels

Hello all, I am a long time lurker and Apple user.

I preordered the third Gen iPad right after the key note speech (took four hours to get through apple's website) and I have been loving the new iPad since the 16th.

Yesterday, while reading The Walking Dead graphic novels, I came to a blank page and the screen was all white. There were a few dust specks I could see so I wipe them up, except ONE!

It was not dust. It was a SMALL cluster of dead pixels.

I called Apple yesterday, they set me up with an appointment at the Apple Store in Cherry Hill, NJ.

I got there at noon, and left there at 12:20 with a brand new, in the box, 3rd gen iPad.

So, just wanted to pass along my experience with the dead pixel and the very good and quick customer service.

Nothing worse then dead pixels, that's awesome that they replaced it. I had 2 dead pixels as well on my new iPad but they vanished after a few hours of use. I guess they burnt in or something, so happy I didn't have to deal with bringing it in.

I'm actually surprised we don't hear about more of this.

Ether the manufacturing process or the quality control at those panel factories must be phenomenal!

I seriously find it surprising nobody else here as come up with this issue Apple's Official Community Forum is Flooded with this. The Apparent Yellow Hue/Tinge on the White's of New iPad had Plaggued a Lot of New iPad Users. Not even a single reported here, wow ! Thats amazing !
