Problem with iDVD Burning Discs-Freezes & Ejects at last step

When I'm in iDVD and go to burn a disc it goes through all the steps and at the last step where it asks if you continue and burn it freezes and won't allow you to push the okay/yes button and ejects the disc. This happens with several slideshows and also several DVD's. We are using DVD-R's.

Does anyone know what could be causing? We're doing this on a MacBook that's approximately 3 years old and it's running Leopard.

    Burning with iDVD or even DVD Studio Pro is not reliable in my experience. You are better off authoring to a disc image and then burning that image using Disk Utility:

    As for the reason it is failing, if some discs from the same batch have burned successfully, it's not likely to be an incompatibility with the brand. It could be that iDVD had trouble saving a temporary image to the hard drive before burning. You can check out your console app in /Applications/Utilities to see if any error messages are being logged.
