My Dreamweaver MX exploded!
Ok, so it didn't actually explode in the most literal sense of the word, but it's about that useless.
When DW MX was first released, I downloaded the 30 day trial version. I used it for 30 days, and when the trial ran out, I bought an upgrade to upgrade my DW4 to DW MX. This was about a month and a half ago.
All was well until last night. I was in the middle of designing some stuff, and when I tried to open a template (that had been designed using the real, not trial version) from the Site window, my computer worked awhile, and then popped up the DW Trial version telling me my trial version was up.
"Well no shit," I said, "that's why I gave Macromedia my money." Dreamweaver didn't respond to this comment.
I still had the trial version on my computer, because I was too lazy to get rid of it. It resided on a different drive than my real version, as well as the files of the site I was working on. But I tracked it down and trashed it anyway.
I restarted DW, and all seemed fine until I opened a file, and only had access to Code view. So I figured that when I installed DW, it saw some of the files from the trial version and just didn't bother to install them again, and by deleting the trial version, I broke the app. It seems farfetched, but it was all I could figure.
So I reinstalled DW MX.
I have access to more than Code view now, but DW is still messing up (although it is at least usable now.). Everytime I open DW and try to add a new behavior, I get this:
I click OK, and it goes away, and not only can I add my behaviors without problems, it won't come back until I quit and relaunch DW.
Anyone got any ideas what's going on, and more importantly, how to fix it?
(btw, I tried to check the install log to see if any errors were reported on it, but I couldn't find the darn thing. Where does OS9.1 put them?)
