Macbook penryn 2.4. Are there high performance CPU Fan and Heatsink available?
Hello All,
Are there better performing CPU fan and Heatsink for a Macbook penryn 2.4? I want to replace it in my Back from Dead MB.
Sometime back my MB refused to start, it was out of warranty and the apple guys said that Logic board is gone and it will take a lot of money to get it fixed.
So opened up my MB and simply took out all the parts and noticed a burnt heatsink and black mark on my CPU so i did some connectivity test and found no flow in Heat sink and when i put them back and just cut the wire of heat sink and joined them to make the current flow without the heatsink, to my amazement it started up, now i want a good performing heat sink and fan and my MB will back to normal.
Did not get anything about why it simply started working but i fear its the heatsink as it used to get very hot lately.
