Mail.app will not open

I am running 10.2.1 on a Powerbook Pismo, and yesterday Mail.app stopped working. I click on it in the dock and it bounces a few times and then stops bouncing, without the little arrow showing to tell that it is open. I have repaired disk permissions with the disk utility after this, but it is still the same. Please help. Thank you.
