Another prob: it looks like maybe I have pc133 memory unstead of 100 . . . I just checked this out in my OS-9 partition and the System Profiler said that one of my ram modules is a 512 meg dimmm of pc133 RAM.

I am running a G4 Dual 500.

I ran hardware test and the RAM failed the test . . .but the profile says the RAM count is at the right amount so it seems to be working.

I am looking for the reciept for teh RAM, I bought it through Mac Solutions and definitely ordered pc100 for my AGP G4.

Could it just be bad RAM?

normally pc133 memory should work fine in older macs that use pc100.

though, if it fails the test, you should really consider getting a replacement. busted memory can cause all kinds of problems like random kernel panics and other stuff.
