I'm not sure what to tell you. It's a newer product group compared to a more mature one. What you should keep in mind is that Apple misses their anticipated announcement dates on idevices too. Have you noted all the speculation and irritation when they go beyond a year without being refreshed or don't see updated styling on an annual basis? You read about them on here. Apple pays a lot of attention to them. Even then people make weird complaints alongside the legitimate ones.
I guess it's partly because all the other gadgets suck so bad. Apple makes a good gadget, and despite it's flaws, it still makes all the competing gadgets look like the turds that they are.
