it sounds like you have your accounts set up right, so i'm guessing that's not the problem.
then i assume you've set up your permissions properly so that they can access it.
i just set one up two nights ago to transfer a pile of mp3's from 10.2 and it worked wonderfully.
other than permissions, i have no idea what else would be causing the problem. when you set up their account, does it have real access? i'm wondering if it's the trying to log in as guest that's the problem. they might need a real username/password to get on your machine. that's how i ended up setting mine up to work.
