im starting to make music and im on a budget and in need of an imac computer ive downloaded software onto my ipad that i can controll fl studio logic 9 final cut all music making software its jus to make all the volume configurations alot simpeler
For the difference of £192, you get a brand new setup with full warranty vs some iMac from 2007-2008 that is half the speed and will likely have a poor screen. You might get a used Mini cheaper but that will most likely happen after WWDC when the new machines arrive. It's a good idea to wait until then as the new one will go on eBay too although you could be waiting a couple of months for it to hit the same price.

Why would you want to buy a seven year old computer?
And what do you mean "use it as a volume controller"?

You're not going to get Logic 9 running on a G5, much less anything else.
Don't buy anything older than a Core 2 Duo with a 64-bit chipset. And even that is really pushing it.
can you tell me the best imac that i can get second hand for around £400
If you're willing to stretch your budget a little, you can get a brand new machine under warranty.
