new powerbooks releasing soon?
I'm looking at getting a Powerbook and would like to know if I should buy now or if anyone has heard anything about new releases for the Powerbooks around July when MacWorld comes around.
For the type of work I do, I think I'm buying it more for the OS and stuck on this overpriced hardware.

My guess is May at the WWDC.

The last update was at the end of 2001.
So really the last true revision was when it got the speedbump up to 550 and 667 MHz. Wasn't that at MWNY last year? Or am I losing my mind?

Losing your mind? It's been long gone ever since I've been reading your posts.
They came out in the fall, several months after MWNY.
I expect a speed bump to 800, but probably nothing much more, in May or June. One for the iBook, too. But I'm betting before MWNY.

Now we know why Bush sr. chose Quayle--he reminded him of his son, Dubya!
I don't

It was even worse than that:
What a terrible thing to have lost one's mind. Or not to have a mind at all. How true that is.

I doubt it, but you never know.
I don't think Apple has ever updated the entire Matrix at once.

Aside from the iMac, I don't think the matrix has ever been this long in the tooth, has it? I don't think updates will happen all at the same show, but they could happen in fairly rapid order. Can you say Press Event?
Please, Steve! Please!
