ID3 tags changing!

I give an mp3 an artist and track name, but as soon as i play it i goes back to how it was, i've had this happen before...how do i fix?!

    Make sure all of your ID3 tag versions are up to date. Select the mp3s in iTunes and control click on them. You should be able to figure it out from there

    Yeah, if your MP3s have the old ID3 1.x version tags, they will only keep the first thirty characters. Update them to 2.x and they should be able to store much longer names.
