Graphic Converter 4.4.4 problems

I was using GraphicConverter version 4.3 or so (4.3.8 I think), with no problems at all. A couple days ago, I DLed version 4.4.4 Now, when I open a picture, it doesn't appear on the screen. I can do things to the picture: scale it, make adjustments, even print, but the image never appears on the screen. If I adjust the file, save it, then open in it in another app, the changes show up. In other words, the file is open in GC, but I can't see it. Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know how to remedy it? I am running 10.2.1 on a PB G4 500 w/256mg RAM (just in case anyone cares)

That's freaky: is there no window, or a window with a solid image?

I certainly haven't see that, and I've been using 4.4.4 since its day of release.

    Try deleting the preference file.

    1. Quit GraphicConverter.

    2. Go to Home/Library/Preferences and delete the file

    com.lemkesoft.graphicconverter.plist

    3. Restart GraphicConverter.

Thanks, that did the trick. I should have thought of that. Probably would have been the first thing I tried in 9, but I forget about preferences in X. Anyway, thanks again, works fine now.
