co-worker can't remember freakin password.....

how do you reset the password in os X if you don't know the orginal password?

off to sherlock and apple care, but hoping someone here knows a work around....

    boot off the install disk and select the menu option for reset passwords.



    Hope this helps.

    thanks for the info...he finally remembered....he knew his password, but for some freakin insane reason he added a capital X for os X at the end of his password.....forgeting the age old maxim: KISS (keep it simple stupid, not kids in satanic service).....g

    ahhh, belle, you hurt my soul with that....saddness.....but nice reply...actually i wish i could forget my password at work...they make me use a pc.....my "co-worker" got a freakin new 17" iMac to use, the bastard....and he is alway asking me to help him with it....i feel like saying, "sure i'll help you...first thing we do is move this ****ing dell into your office and the iMac into mine....problems solved".....g
