./make - command not found?

ok, so i wanted to install ncurses on my mac. downloaded the source

downloaded dev tools

unzipped/untared source

went to the dir, typed ./configure, went fine

typed ./make, told me command wasnt found.

im running os 10.2, anyone know whats up?

    dont mind me, im stupid, maybe if i took out the ./ before hand.....
