Appleworks dictionaries

So, the problem, I'm occasionally running appleworks 6.2.4 in os x 10.2.1. It is a English (US) version, which is just find as interface, but I would like to be able to also spell check from within AppleWorks my Dutch typings, (which are, BTW, quite sublime, but that's neither here nor there).

Does anybody know if the main dictionaries that AppleWorks uses are available for download somewhere? I tried to search apple, but you know how it goes, if you do not have your evening free for searching, don't begin.

Doesn't AppleWorks use the standard OS X dictionaries? You can select them via Edit - Spelling - Spelling...

One would think so, undoubtedly, but I do not seem to find this. It is where it always used to be: Edit>writing tools>check document spelling, and it uses, apparently, only its own dictionaries, and Dutch is not among them if I try and look.

I hate these inconsistencies in software. Apple has become really bad for that.
