info on selling a macbook

I have a 13in macbook I think i'm going to sell. When I bought it I immediately put a vertex ssd. So I think i'm going to put in the original hd pack in which has snow leopard if I remember right. I've upgraded it to lion since then but I wasn't sure if there was a way to get it back to lion once I put the original HD on. Do I have to set up the computer with my apple id. redownload lion and reinstall?


Or do I just sell it with snow leopard and be done with it. I guess the buyer can spend the 20 bucks to upgrade to mountain lion.
