I am a complete newbie to applescript. What I want to do is make an interface for a unix based application. Nothing fancy just something I can click to make it start up. The thing is its a server type program so when i run the script I get that little spinning wheel that never goes away.

Can anyone point me to a good AppleScript referance?

Sorry for the dumb question, but if you have an application why not just double click the icon to launch it?

Anyway, go to this page for AppleScript resources.

Its a unix app that has to be executed from the command line in terminal. It doesn't have a GUI it just gives output on its stderr and stdout.

    Thanks for the web address
