How many hours of voice recording can the iPhone get on a single charge?

I want to use the Voice Memos app to record audio from lectures. How many hours of recording can it do on a single charge?

    The amount of voice memo recorded will depend entirely on the amount of space available on your iPhone + the state of battery power left. It all depends on how long your fully charged battery could last. It is for you to test.


     


    I am not sure but the file-size could be limited to 2GB (which is pretty much huge for a voice memo). You roughly record 2 MB per minute of voice memo. This means that you have some 25+ hours of recording for a single voice memo, of course, if your iPhone available space and battery limitations allow it.

    After upgrading to iOS 8 I tried to record one of my 3,5 hours classes and iPhone stopped when reached 03:04 in both tries. 

    With iOS 7.1.2 I use to record full 3,5 hour classes with no problem.

     

    iPhone 5S 64GB with 25GB free space and using stock voice memos app.

     

    Anyone with this problem also?

    I can't get mine to play with almost 2 hours of record time any thoughts to why I can't get it to play??
