can't install os9 on separate partition on new PB

I also tried to start up from a standard os9 cd: wouldn't work, tried to start up from tech tool pro cd, wouldn't work. The only thing I could do was use the dvd that came with my new superdrive pb. You can start up in 9, but it all seems kind of limited. I guess they're already making it dificult. Anybody have any knowledge on this

    can you describe it more properly? I don't understand it exactly...how does it seem "kinda limited" ?
