How can i change the finder transparency defaults???
I'm sure it looks better transparent...
defaults write com.apple.blablabla didn't work .. if that is not set as permitted options for folder where do i need to hack the system to have the transparency?

The closest thing to achieving what you want would be to buy the hack "windowshade x" and use it to make select windows partially transparent.
i try that windowshade.
on the other hand the things that i "can't" do have a certain fascino .. so, how do i need to hack finder and mail.apps to add the transparency factor to them?

psst !
So i need 'simply' .. to break the codes of finder, mail.app and ichat, and add there the feature support and then able that..
The only thing is that using pre-made themes is risky enough, making them yourself is more dangerous - unless you know what you're doing.
Well, you could create a theme that makes everything more transparent. My current theme, SmoothStripes, happens to remove transparency, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to make things more transparent in a theme if you wanted.

Does the transparancy removal improves the GUI performance (a bit) ?
Well, you could create a theme that makes everything more transparent.

The only transparency a theme will affect is in the menus and the window menubars. The contents of the windows will remain 100% opaque.

On 10.0 and 10.1, making the menus opaque would just slightly improve the time for menu drawing. The effect was only really noticeable on older machines or when the computer's CPU is being heavily taxed.

Translucent Finder and Mail windows? Wouldn't that be disturbing?
nor windowshade x or pathfinder seem to do what i want exactly. i don't mind if i have to launch the feature from the terminal as i have it open always anyway.
