cant control my cdrw!!!!!!!!

ive already tried fixing file permisions, even reinstalled jagaur on my dual 867. but it keeps saying that i dont have the permisiions to eject any cd or dvd. only when i login as root can i do it. and on top of that until i figured that last bit out, i had to restart and eject on shutdown. i need help cuz this is really anoying.

    Isn't there a set of new drivers or firmware for cdr's on Apples website? Maybe in the software update?



    I would try their website first... And then diskcopy...

    If that was the case it would have that problem regardless of who you were logged in as. Did you check the privileges of your users?

    i only have admin users. the other thing is it is over any media inserted into the drive. For example if i put in an audio cd, i can hit the eject button and the button will show up on screen and the disc will be removed from the compuetr view. however the disc never ejects and at this point i cant remount it to eject it. ive also setting the owner of a cd as me but that still didnt work. right now im just kind of working under root, cuz i have a lot cds coming in and out right now.
