Camera compatibility

Hey guys and gals,

I can't offload my Toshiba digicam without using Classic and I would really rather not have to(only thing I use Classic for).

Can any of you brilliant people help me out here, please? A workaround, a universal driver, shareware, anything? Neither iPhoto nor Image Capture recognize the camera.

Have a nice day.

Thank you,

Steve

PS: I got the camera 'cause Consumer Reports named it a Best Buy but didn't think to check for OS X compatibility. Camera has since been discontinued. <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

Does the camera have the option to connect as a drive? My camera can be set to connect as either a digital camera (where iPhoto or Image Capture *should* take over, but don't always) or as a removable disk. The bad thing about connecting as a disk is that you usually have to hunt a little for the pictures.

    Hi,

I got a card reader which is recognized by OS X so I can offload directly to iPhoto.

    Thanks for your help.

Was that one of the cameras with serial connection only?
