    I don't see what this has to do with television. This is a means of balancing processor loads across multiple processors, including processes that can be performed on the GPU.


     


    Ergo, I believe this patent covers aspects of Grand Central Dispatch and OpenCL, both released in Snow Leopard.

    Apple has been filing patent applications for years related to processor design and flash memory control. This has been going on long before Intrinsity and PA Semi got merged in. It really makes name wonder just what technologies actually made it into the A6. It really is too bad that third parties don't have access to the A6 in a way that would allow for testing alternative OS running on various ARM architecture devices. I'd love to see how A6 runs Linux in comparison to other ARM processors output there.

    Sure that is a curiosity thing. I'm likely to see an A6 in a personally owned device when an iPad has it installed and will be happy to see a 2X performance improvement. The nerd in me though really would love a head to head comparison against say Qualcoms unit.
