Apps taking anormally long to launch; 10.2.2

Certain apps have, lately, taken obscenely long to launch under 10.2.2... 30+ bounces for apps that take 1-2 normally.



Prebinding is up to date, the only thing I've done lately was to delete my system caches.



Brad isn't online, so i'm asking the general populace. Help?

    I assume you've logged in and out, and verified file permissions already...?

    Yep. it's wierd as hell.





    I think iChat may be at the root of this, somehow.

    Problem solved.



    It appeared to be some messed up Directory Access settings.

    Yeah, Jonathan messaged me on iChat yesterday because his machine locked up twice in under an hour. When asked what he'd changed, he said someone told him to completely fvck his directory access settings because it would, "make his machine go faster"
