mail.app keeps freaking out

over the past 2 days, mail.app keeps getting the spinning color wheel, i have to force quit. it's already happened twice today and happened a many many times yesterday. i think it has something to do with some emails i keep trying to delete



what can i do to solve this? i'm running 10.2.2

    apparently it was one particular mail that was causing it. i succesfully deleted it. i was finding evertime i was directly selecting it, i had the problem. weird. it wasn't a spam mail either. it did however have pictures

    Are u using dial-up?



    If so, your connection speed may be too slow and may be taking awfully long to download those pictures, leading to the spinning wheel of death.



    One way to get your pictures is to go to the .mac website and assess your email from there. U can also delete this email if necessary from the .mac webpage.

    i'm not sure if they were jpg's or png's



    and no, i have a broadband connection



    no crashes today, so that one email must have been the problem
