When did they change the number pad color?

Wasn't it black? Now it's white. I don't use the phone much. Can I change the color?

    I kind of like the new color. I think it's easier to read.

    Black was more stylish IMO but I agree the new phone keypad is easier to read and should do better in daylight. Black always reflects a lot.
