Ok, I've posted this before but my problem still exists. Five macs, one printer to rule them all <sorry had to>.

4 G4s <two print, two don't>

1 green iMac <this is where the printer is>

I'm getting:

Unable to connect to IPP host: undefind error: 0

Dave is getting:

Unable to print, nothing shows up in his print center. He was doing fine until he removed the iMac and took it home and brought it back again.

chantal and dion both suck cause they can print.

We are all, including the iMac, running Jaguar.

I've deleted the printer prefs on both the iMac and on Daves. But that doesn't help.

anyone out there know of a good resource? or have any input? I know Jaguar is buggy at printing But there has to be a reason only %50 of can print.

thoughts?

flick.

? how are the macs connected with the printers ? over a hub ? router ?

    ? software is 10.2.2 ?

    ? printer drivers ?

try to copy the printer-prefs of the machines that work, to the machines that do not work.

All are attached through a router that twists and weaves through our office like a spider. Me being the update Nazi, Everyone is current and proud of it. As for Print Drivers I believe the Samsung M1210 is part of the Firmware updates apple so kindly graces us with.

this Print Prefrence you refer to, is that the file located:

    User/me/library/prefrences/com.apple.print.PrintCenter.plist

do these pants make me look fat?

    flick.

you said you are using OS 10.2 right?

what kind of printer are you using?

are you trying to use USB printer sharing?

go into the print center of the Mac with the printer and make sure the printer you want to use is the only printer there (creates less problems)

make sure USB printer sharing is enabled on all of the macs (sys prefs--> sharing)

the shared printer should show up on the other macs' print center with a pink tint to the name.

you should be able to print like this...

    any dice?

    let me know

    am i assuming too much?

    let me know...

I am infact using 10.2.3 now so is everyone.

We have Two printers <Both USB>:

-Epson Stylus Colour 740 <we have the Driver>

    -Samsung ML1210 <OSX has this driver>

We all have Print Sharing Turned on.

We all see the Shared Printers in pink.

I Know this is going to be a forehead slapper,

I'm really close to just getting my Mac Mechanic over here to give me a wedgie and show me how easy print sharing really is.. :o )

    Still getting this error:

Unable to connect to IPP host: Undefined Error: 0

I have seen this before. It's the Duplex settings on the Mac's. Set them to match your router or hub.
