Hello. Every time I try to export a movie to quicktime or idvd, imovie crashes. Has anyone ever heard of this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

well i dont think i can help you, but i can tell you whoever will help you is going to need more information then that...

    machine?

    os?

    ram?

    version of iMovie?

any link between the kinds of movies you have gotten this response with? IE do they all start with the same clip?

any 3rd party plug-ins used with the iMovie?

    what other applications are open?

    any other pertinent info?

I reinstalled the program and that seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks

hint to Eldios: please make sure that if you have a problem someday and come back here, to add that info in your first post from the beginning. you help yourself the most if you do this.

I'm having the same problem. I've tried reinstalling iMovie, but my dual 1Ghz powermac (mirror doors) keeps crashing. I have 768 MB of memory and over 20 GBs of disk space on my 80 GB hard drive. I'm running OS X 10.2.3 and iMovie 2.1.2.

My mac crashes at different times in different movies (although all of them are long - 1 hour or more). I'm trying to preserve some old family videos on CD.

    Any help would be appreciated.
