Hi All

I have just updated to OS X10.2.3 and after doing so noticed that when I insert a zip disk it does not show up on the desktop.(I have an Iomega ZIP 100 USB drive) When I look in the Apple System Profiler under Devices and Volumes my USB Zip drive shows up as well as all my other devices.

I have a usb 4 port hub on USB bus 1 and this has my zip drive connected to it. This hub has a DSl modem and Wacom graphics tablet connected to it with 1 free USB connection. On USB bus 0 there is a 7 port USB hub which has my Scanner, Printer, Keboard, Mouse Lightwave Hardware Key connected in there and 2 free ports. I have my system set up this way as my intel DSL modem is stable in this config. I am running this on a iMac 400 Mhz G3 512Mb ram I have my main drive partitioned in half (6Gb each) with OS X on one and OS 9.2 on the other.

I hope thats enough info about my set up for any of you people to shed any light on this problem?

Under OS X 10.2.2 every thing was fine. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

The only light I can shed is to say that just yesterday I used my USB Zip drive (100 MB) for the first time in probably a year and it did show up in OS X 10.2.3. I can't specifically remember it, but if it DIDN'T, I would have noticed since that's the expected behavior.
