PB freezes when I shut the lid!?

got a new powerbook and when i shut to lid to put it to sleep it would freeze. when putting it to sleep in the menu it would wake up fine, but shutting the lid gave it a hard freeze. the tech department at the store said it must be the power supply or a short or power back feed of some sort created when the screen flexes. it was sent to apple and they couldn't get it to freeze. they did however replace the logic board.

will this fix the problem, or should i anticipate it may not be fixed? i don't see the connection between the logic board and the freezing upon closing the lid.

Is there some external devices or hardware plugged into your computer when you close the lid. This could be perhaps something that is causing the problem. Or perhaps you have a piece of software that is causing the problem?

until you find what is causing this, put your PB to sleep, then close the lid. should work.

it has nothing to do with external hardware, or software. this occured right out of the box. it's got to be hardware related. do you think a new logic board wiould fix it by default?
