I just got airport for my home, and I was wondering if my cordless phone will interfer with it. Both are 2.4ghz. If it does, is there anything I can do, or do I have to go spend $200 for a 5.8ghz phone?
If you think you might be getting interference, check the channel that both are operating on .... make sure they are at least 4 numbers different for best results ... although at short ranges this shouldn't really matter.
I am not sure but I am doubting that the phone and airport will be sharind the same band. I have a funny feeling phone devices work of phone only bands????
Your phone will try to find an unused frequency range. But if you suspect the phone is interfering with your hub, you can change the channel of the airport card and that will separate the signals.
