Update on fallen powerbook
As you may have followed on previous threads - my laptop fell - back ports area is smashed and case cracked - other than that it works fine still.
Insurance company are covering all repair costs - however I have just noticed a new problem and wondered if you knew why....
When I use the modem port (first time since the falling of laptop) the screen cuts out???
Is there a wire that it could be close to that runs into the screen - so any pressure at that point moght freak it out?
It is on the modem side - the left hand side as you look atthe screen...
Like I say the screen seems fine - but any use of modem port - OR! even weirder - if you fiddle with thhe back flap cover it turns the screen off???
