Issue with Outlook for Mac
I am having a problem with my Outlook for Mac program. All of the sudden it just started freezing every time I open the program. No error message comes up - it just opens and shows a blank mail screen (no mail, contacts, or options). I can still click anything in the the top bar (file, edit, tools) but I cannot click anything on the actual outlook window. I am not sure if my identity got disconnected so I tried to rebuild it and even deleted it and re-added it. In my account area it now shows an orange icon next to my account. If I log into the OWA site, I can stil see all of my emails and everything, it just does not show up in the actual application.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks!!

Have you tried setting up a test user on your computer and setting up Outlook in that. That would tell you if it's something in a botched settings file in your user or Outlook in general. If the test user fails, try uninstalling Outlook and reinstalling it.
I'd also check Microsoft's site to see if there's any patches for your version of Outlook with your OS version. Perhaps there's a bug they have already found and fixed and you just need an update.
thank you,it important for me.

HI, I gather there are lots of problems with Outlook on Mac. I have never had problems until hotmail changed to Outlook, without me having a choice.
A couple of times I have had the problem where the screen loads and comes up but as soon as it has loaded, or a few seconds later, everything disappears.
Sometimes I can get as far as opening a message or folder then it goes blank.
Up until now these episodes have been short lived and it returned to operating normally. This time it has been days. I have signed out and back in, shut my computer down and restarted. I keep trying and trying but it wont operate properly.
I have two hotmail addresses and both do the same thing.
I read that it can have problems if the inbox or sentbox have near 5000 messages but mine are all less than 1000 with no sub folders.
My Macbook Pro 5,5 hard drive still has 51GB of space, it tells me - although I don't then understand what the 4GB memory is; is that the RAM as opposed to hard drive space?
1 Processor 2.53 GHz Intel Core Duo
Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Bus speed 1.07 GHz
My Macbook is only 3.5 years old, operating Snow Leopard 10.6.8
Could this be a hardware or Mac software problem? It seems to me, from all the posts about Outlook that it is a Microsoft Outlook on Mac problem but I don't know where to start so any advice would be gratefully received. As you can tell I'm not very computer savvy, but I can follow detailed idiot proof instructions so that would be a great help, if possible.
Thanks heaps
