Cable to hard drive

All I want to do is be able to record fights from cable TV into my imac, edit them, and burn them onto DVD (for training purposes).



What cables/programs do I need to make this happen?

    what kind of mac do you have?



    <a href="http://www.elgato.com"; target="_blank">www.elgato.com</a> has eyeTV that will work with any OS X mac (USB) but there is a lag when watching live TV... ~$200



    myTV is another product, but not as good (audio is not on usb, can sometimes get out of sync) ~$200



    formac has a F/W solution but it is $400+



    If you have a tower, there might be a PCI card that works cheaper that I am not aware of...
