Need help from audiophiles becuase cubase.net members are all so miserable
Anyway, I'm using Cubase SX on a 450mhz G4 Tower.
Unfortunately, compared to my income, digital music is going to be expensive. And I can't really afford anything too pro-audio.
But considering I am not yet an obsessive audiophile with the hearing of a bat, who can pick out a 0.01db 1 millisecond fluctuation in a sound sample, will this setup give me pretty good sound quality.
For input <a href="http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/imic/" target="_blank">a Griffin iMic</a>
For output <a href="http://www.midiman.com/products/consumer/sonica_page1.php" target="_blank">the m-Audio Sonica</a> and <a href="http://products.sony.co.uk/pro_runproducts.asp?pid=1184&ShowRange=Yes&Percent age=0&New=No&Cat=HiFi+Separates&subCat=Home+Cinema &Ire=&CatID=3&sProdName=HTBE1" target="_blank">the sony HTBE1</a>
At the moment I've got a really old bodged-together quadraphonic stereo system, which actually sounds pretty good, but it just isn't 5.1.
Any opinions/suggestions?

and your question [quote] will this setup give me pretty good sound quality.
<hr></blockquote> isn't very obvious.
The speakers look pretty good actually, I wonder what the price on them is?
I'm currently putting together my audio setup so if you need any help feel free to ask.
In that case my wishlist has changed considerably:
For Input & Output: <a href="http://www.midiman.net/products/consumer/revolution_page1.php" target="_blank">the M-Audio Revolution</a> and <a href="http://www.yamaha-audio.co.uk/pchometheatre/system/tss-1/index.php" target="_blank">the Yamaha TSS-1 (in black of course)</a> the Yamaha speakers have got good reviews.
Thanks for your help
Andrew
Some really nice people over there and plenty of non audio snobs.
