Could Software Updater Break Quictime?
Recently my machine started up Software Updater when I was just about to shut down.
It asked me if I wanted to update: Airport, Internet Explorer 5.2 Security Update and iPod Software.
I thought "Sure... even though I don't have two of those, why not?"
Shortly thereafter none of my trusted graphic apps work... Not Graphic Converter, iView or Quicktime, which is real strange.
A week or so ago I updated the system completly to 10.2.3.
In both programs, System Profiler has:
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS (0x0001) at 0x7d9a0071
but with a different invalid address.
Why is this always happening... to me, I mean. Others never seem to have this kind of crap just drop in on them.

1st Round:
? delete everything in your Caches folder (~/Library/Caches/)
and try it again. If it still a NoGo then we can try some other stuff.
and Brad, don't. just don't.
I tried the Quicktime by itself first, but that didn't work.
Just a weird little quirk that invaded my system for the holidays, I guess.
