How come whenever I right click in a web browser it quits, the icons on the desktop disappear and then reappear? This is very annoying, especially when I try to download an image. Anyone know whats going on?
Yeah, that certainly shouldn't be happenning. It sounds like your window server is dying, thereby killing your apps and relaunching the Finder. Do you have any third-party hardware drivers installed? Have you installed any hacks or themes on the system? Is your system software up to date at 10.2.3?
The first generic solution to proplems is attempting to repair the disk and its permissions. To do this, you need to boot up from the Mac OS X Install CD (the first one). On the main installer screen, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. Select the name of your hard drive, click the First Aid tab, and click Repair Drive. When that is finished, click Repair Disk Permissions. You can then exit the installer and reboot back into your normal system.
I'm using 10.2.3, and the Apple Pro mouse(black). I already tried repairing permissions and and the disk. It probably is my window server, but I don't know how to check.
