What does Sim Free means

Sorry if i sound STUPID i m not a tech savy....But recently got attracted to iphone 5.


So what does it mean...I can insert any sim right...

    Correct. "Sim free" seems to mean that you may use a SIM card from any telecom that is supported by the iPhone you purchase.
