Sorry but I need PC help

My brother is installing a Nvidia 440 into his compaq 600 mhz pc... nothing but errors. It doesn't seem to recognize it .



any clues?

    make sure you use the nvidia detonator drivers

    30.82



    40.x series is still beta



    initally set the driver to plain vanilla svga

    then apply the 30.82 drivers from <a href="http://www.nvidia.com"; target="_blank">www.nvidia.com</a>

    DO NOT use any other drivers

    Not Apple current hardware.... or even Mac related, but I'll chuck it into the Genius Bar anyway. Good luck.
