Vid card flashing PC ---> mac

Hi all, i know you can flash the ROM on a vid card so you can use it in a mac. my question is: can i install a regular PC nVidia GeForce2 mx200 (Gainward) and flash the ROM using Apple's nvidia firmware update found here:

or is that for "mac" nvidia cards only?



if this is possible, then it would avoid all the hassle of flashing it in the PC, then transplant

thanks for the quick replay, Tulkas, that is where i got my idea from. He doesn't state whether the nVidia firmware updater provided on Apple's site will work w/o flashing the card in PC's first, tho.



Since this nvidia firmware upate came out in November, and his latest update to the site is October, i don't know if he has knowledge of anyone who has tried it.



i'm trying to just see if <a href="http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120168"; target="_blank">this</a> will circumvent the work in PC.

Actually, that site does give the instructions for doing the flash on a Mac...in OS9 anyway.
