safari problem

I downloaded safari when it was released and it was working fine. I then tried to download the update. Each time I tried I got hung up on the Mounting "Safari.dmg". The disk copy progress bar just runs continuously until finally disk copy quits. I thought I'd try to delete the safari program (v48) which I did but it hasn't helped. I still have the same problem trying to mount the safari.dmg (v 51). HELP!

    try if this works:



    delet the file named "com.apple.DiskCopy.plist in the folder ~/Library/Preferences/, then try again.
