"new order's" "technique" cd from '89 does not play on powerbook? help!

hello again!



i was wondering how come i didn't have "new order's technique" cd in my computer. to realize that it does not play either in my powerbook or an external cd-rom/burner.

the cd plays fine on bose stereo downstairs. i even tried to make a copy of the content onto my hard drive. and it show up error saying "some data cannot be read, etc.. etc.."



copy protected cd from 1989? this never happened before with other music cds...

    Could the CD be scratched or dirty? In my experience, I have found that the CD-ROMs in computers are usually far more sensitive to these kinds of imperfections than regular stereos are.

    no.... this hardly has any scratches that i can see of. i had cds scuffed and played fine on this computer... it's very strange...
