Hi,

My Macbook air was damaged by the screen being broken. The HD should be fine. The insurance comany are sending me a new Macbook air and I've requested the old hard drive. Does anyone know how I can transfer the data from my old hard drive to my new Mac ?

Thanks

Migration Assistant. Open it on the new machine and follow the instructions.

    In Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities.

It is not too difficult to transfer MacBook files to another device but whenever any mistake occurred with this operation you might have to face Mac data loss. It might be critical issue for you. The same case occurred

when I was transferring files from MacBook to iMac. File transfer stop in the mid of the process and i lost my data then I search on the web for data recovery. I found one of the page which helps me a lot in the recovery of MacBook files.
