Virtual PC

I just got Virtual PC 6 and am having trouble installing windows 2000 pro. I bought Virtual PC 6 without the OS and have the original Windows 2000 cd but I can't seem to start up the installation or really do anything productive. Does anyone know of any sites on the web that have information on how to set it up or know how to do it?

Thanks

Exactly what problems are you having? I installed 2000 with no problem.(It did take a while though)

Make sure you boot from the CD. This is the only problem I can think of.

If you cannot boot VPC from the CD, check if you can boot a real PC from it.

You might want to try and update Virtual PC with the updater (to 6.0.1 or something), especially if you are on a G3 based 'puter.

Can anyone help me get my internet connection to run through VPC 6.0.1 (Win 2000). I have tried using shared networking, but I cannot get it to work, and when I try the virtual switch, it cannot detect my modem (I am running airport). Does it even work with airport? Argh! It is frustrating. It does say I am connected under the local area network setting, but when I open IE it says I still need to connect.

If I need to provide any more info, let me know.

    I am running 10.2.3.

I have seen a few threads about this over at Connectix's support forums, but none of the suggestions over there seemed to help...

Oh, I am a complete Windows novice...that is why I picked up VPC6, to learn Windows, plus I have a class I need it for (luckily I can run that software just fine so far ) but there are still some web sites I would like to use it for (like registering for classes--it won't work under OSX for some reason). And I dont care about gaming so that is not an issue (I am happy with Bejeweled and Alchemy--Thanks PopCap! )
