iPhone 4 S no longer gives audible rings and notifications

Hi Applers,


 


My fairly new 4s has stopped ringing for phone calls. And new emails no longer give the sound.


The volumn setting is all the way up.


 


Do Not Disturb is OFF


Ringtone is Marimba


The bar for Ringer and Alerts is all the way to the right. I DO hear it when I move the bar so the speaker is working.


 


What oh what could be wrong?

    This one has been resolved. I had pressed a button on the left side of the phone. I toggled it and now receive audible alerts for new emails and calls. I'm a iPhone newbie. Thanks
