FTC guidelines for mobile app developers

I've just stumbled across this news about the FTC guidelines for app developers and I believe it’s crucial for any app developer to be aware of them.

For the last several years since both App Store, Google Play and other app stores have emerged the question of privacy has always been on a radar. The FTC quote says is all “If you’re in the business of developing mobile apps, it’s important to give the straight story about what your app can do and be transparent about your privacy practices. Consider these tips if you’re developing an app.”


 


It’s important to remember about your obligation as a marketer to be honest with claims about your product you do while you promote it. It’s a good thing if you read it and consider it’s a trivial notion, it means you are on a good track already!
